Elastic Properties of Pannonian Basin Limestone under Different Saturation Conditions

Understanding elastic properties of reservoir rocks is essential for seismic modeling under different saturation conditions as well lithology discrimination. Experiments on limestones are significantly less published compared to siliciclastic sedimentary rocks. The current study presents the results laboratory measurements Pannonian Basin limestone cores. research was carried out first time a hydrocarbon in Bjelovar Depression, located southern part Basin. Ultrasonic velocity and determination dynamic were performed plugs, dry saturated condition confining pressure steps. Based obtained conditions, an empirical relationship between shear wave (Vs) compressional (Vp) has been defined. samples show effect modulus weakening, while three have strengthening effect.
